Greetings! Amidst all the fear, anxiety and challenges brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic, there are signs that better days are ahead for us. The number of newly-diagnosed COVID-19 cases is slowly starting to decline, and the beautiful Spring season reinforces our optimism in new beginnings.
As our community begins to cautiously reopen, however, it’s more important than ever to keep yourself and your loved ones safe and healthy.
We are working diligently on our own reopening plan, but remain driven by health and safety issues rather than a finite timeline. When we do reopen, our branch lobbies will look a bit different including Plexiglas windows at our Teller counters and other high-traffic areas, as well as social-distancing decals on the floor to remind us to stay 6’ away from one another.
While we all want to return to “business as normal”, this crisis has taught us that “normal” will look very different for many months or years to come. But, we are Iowa Strong and, as the Marine motto says, we know how to improvise, adapt and overcome challenges that come our way.
In addition to preparing our offices for reopening, we have been busy working on plans for our new FSB Investments Center. We purchased the building adjacent to the parking lot at our main bank last year after Dr. Nopulous, a longtime Marion dentist, retired. The renovations are almost finished and our investment team is looking forward to getting settled into their beautiful new space. We will hold a public open house later this year and hope you’ll be able to join us. Stay tuned for details!
Finally, I thought I’d take time to highlight some of the ways FSB employees are living out our Faster. Stronger. Better. branding.
• More than a dozen of our employees sewed 200+ face masks for fellow employees, customers, family members and the medical community.
These are just a few examples demonstrating how FSB employees are finding ways to make life a little BETTER for others. I am fortunate to lead such a caring, compassionate and committed team. Their dedication to helping both our customers and our community through these extraordinary times is something I truly appreciate and will never take for granted.

If you don't have internet access, please feel free to call us at 319-377-4891 (or toll free at 888-461-0821) with any banking-related need (e.g. transferring money between your FSB accounts, checking to see if a deposit has been made, etc.).
To sign up for Bill Pay* simply log in to your Online Banking account and click on the checking account you wish to pay bills from, then select Pay My Bills.
*No charge for Bill Pay when you use it each month to pay at least one bill ($3 per month if not used).
Once the app is downloaded, click to open it and type in your username and password that you use to log in to your Online Banking.
