David grew up on a farm in Central Iowa. He received his BBA from the University of Iowa in 1990, and his MBA from U of I in 2002.
David began his banking career as a Commercial Loan Officer. His most recent banking positions included Chief Lending Officer and Market President for Central State Bank, as well as Market President for Ohnward Bank and Trust prior to returning to FSB in 2019.
David and his wife, Cheryl, have two adult children, a son and daughter. Outside of work, David is involved in the Izaak Walton League and the Salvation Army. He referees basketball games and serves on the finance committee and the advisory board at the Cedar Rapids Salvation Army. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and numerous outdoor activities.
