After graduating from Iowa State University, Steve began his banking career in 1986 at the Alburnett office of Farmers State Bank – his family-owned bank. Steve worked at the Alburnett office for 10 years as an agricultural lender and then served as the Branch Manager of FSB’s Hiawatha office for 10 years. When Steve was selected to head up the bank’s business development efforts as Senior Vice President in 2006, he relocated to the main office in Marion. Steve was recently promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. He also represents the third generation of the Neighbor family to serve on the FSB Board of Directors.
Steve and his wife, Amy, lead a very active life outside the bank as well. Both are very active in their church, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and numerous other organizations in the community. In addition, they are the very proud parents of three daughters: Callie, Chloe and Claire.
Tom joined FSB in June 2008. Prior to working at FSB, Tom was a Business Banker at Community Savings Bank, a financial consultant, the CFO at Stickle Salvage Feed, Vice President of Ag Banking at Norwest Bank Iowa, and served as Vice President/Branch Manager at First Bank System. In all, Tom has spent the past 40 years working in the banking and agricultural business communities. He currently serves on the Internal Officers Trust Committee at FSB.
Tom is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education, and volunteers extensively for local non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Neighborhood Finance Corporation and the Celebration of Ag. Tom and his wife, Michele, have two sons and a daughter. The family enjoys their cabin on Lake Delhi. They also like attending Iowa State games, golfing and traveling together.
Mike joined FSB in May 2017. Prior to joining FSB, Mike was a Commercial Relationship Banker with Bankers Trust and prior to that a Commercial Lender with Liberty Bank and First Trust and Savings Bank. In all, Mike has 16 years of experience in the corridor business communities.
Mike is a graduate of Central College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and has volunteered for non-profit organizations that include Horizons, 100+ Men Who Care, and RMA Board Member. Mike and his wife, Samantha, have three sons and a daughter. Mike enjoys cheering on the Hawkeyes, fishing, and spending time with family.
David grew up on a farm in Central Iowa. He received his BBA from the University of Iowa in 1990, and his MBA from U of I in 2002. Dave began his banking career as a Commercial Loan Officer. His most recent banking positions included Chief Lending Officer and Market President for Central State Bank, as well as Market President for Ohnward Bank and Trust prior to returning to FSB in 2019.
Dave and his wife, Cheryl, have two adult children, a son and daughter. Outside of work, Dave is involved in the Izaak Walton League and his church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and numerous outdoor activities.
Kevin graduated from UNI with a Finance and Real Estate degree. He started his banking career as a Credit Analyst in Waterloo. After moving to the Cedar Rapids area in 2006, Kevin joined Community Savings Bank in Robins, IA as Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer before joining FSB in January 2013 as Vice President, Commercial Lender.
Kevin, and his wife, Martha, enjoy traveling, concerts, spending time with their family, and boating on the Mississippi River. Kevin volunteers at many FSB-sponsored events.
Scott graduated from ISU with a BS in Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Finance, Marketing and Management Information Systems. He began his career in banking working for the ATM department and as a Teller for FSB during summer breaks while in college. In 1989, he began full-time employment at Norwest Bank in the Credit Training Program in Des Moines, and was then promoted to an Ag Loan Officer in the Cedar Falls Norwest office in 1990.
In July, 1995, Scott left Norwest to join the family banking business at FSB as Vice President and Ag Loan Officer, adding the title of Alburnett Branch Manager to his list of responsibilities in 1998. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2013. Scott currently serves on FSB’s Funds Management, Loan Review and Products & Services committees.
Scott and his wife Kristin are the proud parents of four children: Jenna, Jordan, Austin, Allyssa and son-in-law Ollie. They live on a farm in Center Point where he raises corn, soybeans and cattle. Scott likes to spend time outside with his family hunting and fishing ... and a more recently found hobby involves grandchildren and anything they want to do.
Dave graduated from high school in 1975, and continued his education at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) for Emergency Medical Services. He then became a certified EMT-IRT and served as an EMS instructor for North Iowa. Dave worked for several years in ag chemical sales. He also ran the farming operation at NIACC and was in charge of their 300-acre row crop farm and all of the summer plot tours. Dave then worked as a sales manager for Leica Geo-Systems prior to joining FSB in September, 2004 as an Ag Lender.
He and his wife, Valerie, have lived on a farm outside of Marion for 20 years. They have one boy, Matt, and two daughters, Ande and Alicia, and eight grandchildren – five girls and two boys. Dave actively serves on the Board of Directors for Linn County Cattlemen and has served on the Celebration of Ag committee for 12 years. In his spare time, Dave enjoys being outside, growing a few crops of his own, and keeping up with his cows.
Greg grew up on a farm in western Iowa, graduated from Manilla High School, and continued his education at Iowa State University, where he graduated in 1985 with his BBA in Finance. He then received his MBA from the University of Iowa in 1989. Greg has worked in the Cedar Rapids area for almost 30 years, first as a credit analyst at United State Bank. He transitioned to the lending area shortly thereafter, working for First Trust & Savings and Hills Bank before beginning his career as a Commercial Lender at FSB in 2011. Greg currently sits on the Loan Committee here at FSB.
Greg lives in Coralville with his wife, Kim, and their children. He volunteers his time with SCORE of Eastern Iowa. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and participating in family activities.
Anee grew up in SE Iowa on the family farm in Bonaparte and graduated from Harmony High School before moving to Cedar Rapids to attend Kirkwood College. Anee worked for Wells Fargo for eight years prior to FSB as a teller, personal banker, service manager and store manager, eventually being promoted to the commercial lending department in 2012.
Anee enjoys spending time with her husband, Justin, and their three kids Rylee, Kinzlee and Hudson. She is active in the College Community School District, Big Brother Big Sisters, and Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa.
Rusty graduated from Kennedy High School and then continued his education at Kirkwood Community College where he graduated with his Associate’s degree in Banking and Finance. He began his banking career with Farmers State Bank in 2002 as a Teller at the Hiawatha office. From there, he has steadily and successfully climbed the corporate ladder in the roles of Personal Banker, Consumer Lender and, currently, in the role of Commercial Lender.
Rusty and his wife Kara have two children, Trace and Hayden. In his spare time, Rusty enjoys fishing, golfing, biking, and watching Hawkeye sports. Rusty also likes volunteering at many FSB sponsored events.
Jon was born and raised in Iowa City where he graduated from Regina High School. He continued his education at the University of Iowa, graduating in 2002 with a BBA in Management and Organization.
For the past 15 years, Jon has worked in banking and finance in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids corridor, first for American General Financial Services as a Financial Representative and Branch Manager. He then joined US Bank as a Branch Manager and was quickly promoted to the Executive Leadership Team as a District Manager for 19 US Bank branches. Most recently, Jon was a Commercial Lender at Central State Bank in Coralville before beginning his career as Market President for FSB’s new Tiffin office which will open in early 2021.
Jon lives in North Liberty with his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters, Kennedy and Reagan. He is one of the founding members and current president of the non-profit Thunder Softball Inc. He is also an active member of the local Lions Club. In his spare time, Jon enjoys tailgating and attending Iowa football games at Kinnick Stadium.
