Get to Know Nick
Nick brings a unique blend of media, economic development, and commercial lending experience to FSB. A University of Northern Iowa graduate, Nick began his career as a news anchor before moving into commercial credit analysis and private banking.
He later served as the founding director of Uptown Marion and spent 10 years as president of the Marion Economic Development Corporation. Nick returned to banking in 2023, driven by his passion for supporting growth-minded businesses and building lasting relationships.
A Marion resident for over 25 years, Nick is deeply engaged in his community—serving on the boards of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, Marion Cares, and the Iowa State Workforce Development Board. He’s also a ministry lead at Antioch Christian Church and a proud graduate of Leadership Iowa and Leadership for Five Seasons.
Outside of work, Nick enjoys camping with his family, yard work, and golf. Known for his strategic thinking and community-first mindset, he specializes in business development, real estate lending, and treasury management.
